Junior Church

Junior Church meets during our Morning Service, except for our All Age Services on the 1st Sunday of the month. Our Services begin altogether as a church family and then after a short time the children and youth head through to the Church Hall for Junior Church. The children and youth always return into the church for the end of the Service. Parents are encouraged to leave their children in Junior Church: all the leaders hold up to date DBS checks. However, if parents would like to stay with their child to help them settle that’s fine.

Scramblers This group is led by Cathy Houghton. We have activities, games and craft and the focus of the time is an interactive story from the Bible. There are also lots of toys on hand for the children to play with.
.Adventurers This group is led by Becca Nash. We spend our time learning from the Bible in an interactive way, sometimes by acting the story out or playing games that relate to it. We finish the session with some craft.
Trekkers This group is led by Laura Fisher. We read the Bible together and think about what it means for us today. To help us think about it more we have various games and activities and sometimes craft too.
Pathfinders Pathfinders is led by Beth Lindon. We spend time learning from the Bible together over a hot or cold drink and often playing a game too. We also spend time thinking and talking through some of the big questions the children might have.

All Age Services

The 1st Sunday of the month is always an All Age Service and so there is no Junior Church. Our church family stays together for the whole Service, which lasts for under an hour. After the Service we have refreshments, followed by a Bring & Share Lunch.
Noahs Ark
Noah's Ark is our group for babies and toddlers. It runs from 9:45-11:15am on Friday mornings
during term time in the Church Hall. There are snacks, singing, a story time, craft and toys for the children, and coffee, homemade cake and a chance to chat for parents and carers. The cost is £1 per family.
For more information or if you'd like to come please contact Becca Nash.

It is for children aged 0-4 but older siblings (aged up to 7) are welcome to attend as well. There are toys, games, messy play, newspapers and bacon butties; the cost is £1 per family. For more details please contact Dave.

Many of our children (and adults as leaders!) go on camps throughout the year. These are short residential holidays for children where they can spend time learning about Jesus and get to do loads of games, activities, crafts and more!

The Buzz

The Buzz is a 3 night holiday for 8-11s held during May half term at Lancaster Royal Grammar School.  We play games inside and outside (including water games!), do loads of exciting activities (including swimming, baking and filming) and crafts. This year we are looking at some really super heroes in the Bible, including the best one of all, Jesus! There will be chances to look at the Bible in big group meetings and also in smaller dorm group interactive Bible studies, which include time for any questions. The children sleep in dorms with only a few other children. It’s a great week to spend with friends and make new ones! For any other questions or for more information contact Beth Lindon.
