Our oldest group in Junior Church is called Pathfinders and is for school years 6-8. Pathfinders is led by Katy Johnson. We spend time learning from the Bible together over a hot or cold drink and often playing a game too. We also spend time thinking and talking through some of the big questions the children might have.
Once young people reach year 9 there is no separate group for them, and they are encouraged to join in with the main Service.
(10-13s - Years 6-8)
XTB is our weekly youth group which happens on Friday evenings during term time, meeting from 5:30-6:45pm in the Church Hall. XTB stands for eXplore The Bible, which is one of the things we do each week in the Bible slot. There are also lots of other activities: group games, table tennis, pool, air hockey, table football and a tuck shop. We also eat a snack type meal together each week. Once a term we have a social; in the past, we’ve been to Clip ‘N Climb, Energi and LeVel.
(14-18s - Year 9+)
Ideally we would like to have Cell Groups for our teenage boys and girls that meet during the week. At present, we have a Boys Cell Group that meets to study the Bible and pray together.
For more details about any of the above please contact Katy Johnson, our Children's Worker.
Many of our young people (and adults as leaders!) go to camps throughout the year. These are short holidays for youth, where they can spend time learning more about Jesus and do loads of games, activities, crafts and more!
Quinta is a 5 night camp for 11-14 year olds at Quinta House in Shropshire. Each day is bursting at the seams with activities like rock-climbing, power-kiting, canoeing, mountain biking, football, and more, along with indoor options like art, giant craft projects, drama & dance workshops and swimming. There's time in dorm groups to chill, buy tuck, look at the Bible and explore the area. Each day rounds off with a sketch and talk about Jesus followed by high-energy evening ents!
It’s a great week to spend with friends and make new ones! Click here

The Vibe (14-18s)
The Vibe is a 7 night camp for 14-18 year olds at Adcote School, in Shropshire. There’s sport, swimming, craft, cooking, wide games, or just relaxing in the sun. There will also be the opportunity to take part in off-site activities such as mountain biking, caving, rock climbing and more! The accommodation is great with comfy beds, lounges, games rooms, and the grounds to sit enjoying the sun. The food is fantastic and there’s lots of it! During the week we will be looking at the Bible and getting to grips with what God really says. There will be short talks, small group Bible studies, seminars or just chatting. You can even ask any question you have.

Sound is an event for 14-18 year olds put on by the North West Partnership. These happen three times a year, one Saturday event in November and two Friday evening events in March and June. These events are a chance for teenagers from across the North West to spend time together learning about Jesus from the Bible. During the events we sing, hear God’s Word taught, play games, pray together, eat, chat and discuss topics and find out about great Christian books (usually there is a free giveaway book!) They are also a great chance for young people who attended The Vibe or Quinta to meet up again!
